Empowering Kingfisher & Canadian County residents with the facts that shape their future.
Piedmont Informed is a volunteer-led civic advocacy coalition committed to transparency, community education, and democratic participation. We are equally committed to protecting the privacy of every person who visits our website or connects with our work. This policy explains, plainly and
completely, how we handle information — and what we never do with it.
Privacy Policy - The Basics
Information you provide voluntarily. When you contact us, sign a petition, submit a comment for public use, or join our mailing list, you may provide your name, email address, physical address, phone number, or other information. We collect only what you choose to give us.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting platform may automatically log basic technical data when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages viewed. This data is used solely for security and site- performance purposes.
Public comment submissions. If you submit a comment, testimony, or letter intended for public distribution or submission to a government body, please be aware that such content may be published or submitted with your name attached, consistent with the purpose for which it was prepared.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:
To communicate with you about our research, events, and advocacy updates
To coordinate community organizing and distribute educational
materials
To respond to your questions and requests
To submit public comments or testimony on your behalf, if you
have explicitly authorized us to do so
To improve our website and communications
To comply with applicable legal obligations
We will never use your information for any purpose beyond what is
consistent with this civic and educational mission.
What We Do Not Do
We want to be explicit about practices we categorically do not
engage in:
We do not sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
We do not share your personal information with political
campaigns, commercial advertisers, data brokers, or any third
party not directly involved in carrying out our civic mission.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
We do not compile profiles on individuals for commercial or
political profiling purposes.
We do not contact you on behalf of any candidate or political
party.
Piedmont Informed is not affiliated with any political party,
candidate, or commercial interest. Our only interest is an informed
and empowered Piedmont community.
Cookies & Tracking
Our website may use minimal, functional cookies necessary for
basic site operation (such as remembering form entries). We do not
use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or behavioral analytics
platforms that build cross-site profiles of visitors.

time without losing access to any content on our site.
Third-Party Services
Our website may be hosted on or link to third-party platforms (such

authorize them to use your data for their own independent
purposes.
Our website may also link to external sources — news coverage,
government documents, academic research, and public records.
Visiting those sites is governed by the respective site's own privacy
policy, not ours.

We take reasonable precautions to protect the information we hold
from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. Because we collect
minimal information and do not store sensitive financial or medical
data, our risk surface is intentionally small.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If
we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal
information, we would notify affected individuals promptly and
Take corrective action.

personal information from children. If you believe a child has
